Nice picture! Take more pictures if possible, love those strips on them.
Btw, is that a male or female?

Hi,
on the picture it looks like a male tiger shrimp. The genders are hard to differentiate but the shrimp on the picture seem to be adult and shows some chraracteristical male traits like relatively long antennules, a slim abdomen etc.
BTW Joe, it's a beautiful picture! I would like to see more of such pictures of your shrimps.
regards
Robert

i agree, it looks to be a male shrimp :) i don't know the name of it- the part of its shell that covers its pleopods/swimmerets... females seems to have a bigger part in covering the swimmerets where the eggs are carried... correct me if i'm wrong :)

Hi,
that's a really nice tank :) .
You seem to keep CRS and Tiger shrimps in the same tank. Don't you think there could be a risk of crossbreeding?

Thanks for the compliments, Pconnieae!!! :)
I'm not sure if cross-breeding will occur since the crystal red shrimps are moving to a new house soon :p :D :D

Hi Joe,
that's realy a nice tank! Your moss wall looks great but I'm more curious about the liverwort on the piece of driftwood. What is this? Looks like the so called "mini pellia".

Xbox Live,
How's the casualty rate of your newly acquired bee shrimps? It seems bee shrimps are very fragile to me.

The B/W bees are doing fine but five big "V" headband bee died. (that was because i place them in my ADA tank with ph5.8 and high dosage of fertilizer for my plants.)Took them out and place them into my shrimp community tank and they look happy there.

Added 10 more tiger shrimps yesterday. Found one pregnant. Seems that the tiger shrimps are doing well in alkaline water. Will update as there are some progress.

Nice tiger shrimp there! How do you get such nice looking plants with no CO2 or ferts? How long has the tank been set up?

Nice specimen and nice tank! I don't like the gravel that much tho... It doesn't seem to fit with the rest of your . The piece of wood in the middle adds a lot of character to the tank... a very big plus!
BTW, is it possible for you to do a zoom on the mini pellia? I think I may have some and just wanna do a compare. Thanks.
