Yesterday I've brought home some Hyperflux LEDs and Print Circuit Board to do some experimenting...

Hyperflux LEDs
Hyperflux LEDs are High Power LEDs with 4 connection pins, the one I use are Warm White and have a 100 degree beam angle.

Print Circuit Boards
I used a standard available PCB to mount the Hyperflux LEDs on. There are 6 positions to mount the LEDs (I used all of them) and also 2 positions for a resistor.

Hello, interesting experiments indeed. Please let us know if plants will like it.
I've done some experiments (http://monomaniac.fr/blog/?tag=eclairage-led) too, and although the light intensity looks good, plants don't seem to appreciate. Even mosses...Too bad 'cause I kind of like this way of lighting.
I am trying now High Power LEDs, which are well known by reef tank keepers, but not very used in freshwater tanks so far.

Very cool builds you've made! Eventually I want to get rid of the TL in my tank and only use LED lighting, just because it's cool haha :P

But witch LEDs do you mean with High Power? Just brighter ones or real High Power 1W LEDs? (can also be 3W and more but you know what I mean ;) ) Would love to see some pictures of that experiment!

Thanks, but plants did not like it much, hopefully i'll get better results with 3W High power LED.
What does TL stand for by the way ?

Off course, i'll post something about high-power LED ;)
I am gathering information about them to build small systems for my nano aquariums and my orchids.
For now, may I suggest these 2 very interesting links : removed Link 2 (http://www.nano-reef.com/forums?showtopic=186982)
