It is a very good tank size for CRS. But please don't introduce the CRS in before you find out the water is suitable for shrimp or not (this means stable conditions, no toxic stuff like nitrit, ammonia, copper etc.). Try to get some cheaper shrimp like tiger or cherry. If they died in 2nd day, it means your tank not yet ready for CRS.
If they can survive for 2 weeks, then you can try to introduce min of CRS first. Unless you saw your cherry or tiger carrying eggs. Then you can just go ahead and introduce the CRS.
For a 1ft i think 10-15 of CRS is good enough. Make sure the internal filter with not so strong flow.
Be carefull with CO2 as well. For my case, PH0.4-0.6 changing in short period will kill them.

thanks bro.
will remove the co2 once the moss and plant start to establish and grow.
any other things to note for?

How long will the eggs hatch? Do you know what is the max nitrate level before water have to be changed? Thanks...

Not sure how long they take to hatch. But i believe it is depending on how strong of the female shrimp and the water condition. Just like my female cherry carry for 2 weeks.
Normal planted tank do maintain 5-10ppm of NO3. Of coz with less than 5ppm of NO2. I am not really go and figure out the nitrate level all the time. I just saw the shrimplet everywhere and females carrying with eggs. I won't change single drop of water. But, just top up the water.

I am not really expect in shrimp thingy. Just in here and sharing what i went thru...
Btw, the highest PO4/Amonia is from the fish pellet. (I am feeding Sera flake.) Make sure don't over feed. Beside the algae inside the tank. I am feeding around 2-3 thumb size of flake to them.

Typically, it's 3-4wks, depending on feeding, water temp, etc.

Once they grow up to a certain size they will breed immediately :)
