hi all,

ive set up a tank for crs and cbs a few days ago and im trying to understand my water parameteres and have a question about co2

how much co2 ppm is ok for crs?

Ph is 6.3 with co2 running and around 6.5 at night

KH is 4 (71.6ppm)
GH is 7 (125.3ppm)
ammonia is high cause its cycling at 2.5ppm
Nitrate is 15ppm
nitrite 0.25ppm

also is there a calculator that converts KH to co2ppm?

Take a look at this Chart (http://www.shrimpnow.com/mygallery/showimage.php?i=2122&catid=member&imageuser=191) that shows you the direct relationship between CO2, KH, and pH. The boxes shaded in light green is the "good" zone where no harm will come to your shrimp. But you will still want to play around with the amount of CO2 you inject and how it affects its inhabitants.

While you are at it, you may as well read this article (http://www.shrimpnow.com/viewarticle.php?articleid=73) on the relationship of these three measures, of which the chart linked above is a part of.
