Looks very professional for someone like me (my fingers are all thumbs).:joking:
Why did you decide to DIY - is it less expansive?

Those are beautiful! But don't you have to unscrew that everytime you clean your media? Or are these 100% biological filters, and you do the mechanical filtration somewhere else?

Thats some really cool D.I.Y , looks like professional filters, I like the attention to detail and how neat it has come out.

Would be great if you could share the details of putting this together :)

wow great DIY work.
is everything made out of PVC? including the top and bottom? what glue did you use?
how did you make the seal for the top and what is it held on?
do you have any more pictures of the building process?

sorry for all the questions, but i think that this is one of the best DIY works I have seen

Hehehe, every graphic designer are interested on DIY projects.

I love your filter, really good looking stuff. But I have some technical questions on:

- How did you get tight the cable of water pump in your second one?
- How did you adapt the the commercial in-angle valves?

I was really into the DIY projects in the pass.

This is my last design never built:

Great work. These filters are amazing. Well done.
A question though: I see that on both filters you have some small tubing coming out the top with a valve. Is this to purge the air out of the cannister?
Thanks.

Sorry I know the post is old, but I have some doubts about the bomb.
The photography is that you are using? consumption is very high are almost 80W.
I've been looking but I see that your price is too high.
