Keeping shrimps is a wonderful hobby and one can spend hours with the tanks, the shrimps and in online communities. Close relatives and friend may feel neglected. I just remember this funny post (http://www.shrimpnow.com/forums/showpost.php?p=46188&postcount=9) of minicooper ;) So here is a poll on this topic:

Heh, i'm a lucky kid. My fiancé is ok with it. We tease each other with the question who has the most and the biggest tanks.
(Unfortunately, i have the most AND the biggest tanks...)
Other people think we're both kinda weird but i don't mind that. It's our money and our flat, so i guess it's nobody's business but ours. Our friends already know we're crazy lol
Aaand if people judge us too hard, we mention all the reptiles we keep too, that usually makes them shut up and go :joking:

@Silane: I have made the poll anonymous - sorry, this was by mistake! I don't use the poll function in our forum that often. :D
Regarding me, I am sometimes told that I spend too much time with this hobby, but overall I have very good support from my family. They sometimes miss me when planning other activities.
@Muffin: You are lucking with your financé sharing this interest! What kind of reptiles do you have - any dangerous/poisonous?

Yes, i know, these guys are hard to find ;)
My financé is all about sea water tanks und puffer fish, i'm crazy about shrimps ;)
We were breeding many chameleon species for the last years, now we reduced our stocks to about 13 chameleons and only try to breed Calumma parsonii, very very big and gentle chameleons :-)
This is homer, he measures almost 70 centimeters from snout to tail.

We also have a small iguana and a few frogs but no snakes and nothing poisonous.

Very Nice and Touchy Topic lol
I have got comments like "I wish i was one of your shrimp tanks, then maybe you would have paid more attention to me" :D

You just have to find the right person to be with that would understand you through thick and thin in life or love you enough to support all your hobby like what we have right now. After almost 8 years with my wife we finally ended up with terms that she would support all my addiction with shrimps/pets as long as i don't "CHEAT" on her! LOL!!! She is also happy because i stay home most of the time now if not drinking with friends on the week ends or work.lol

Where is the fourth option?
O Not happy but resigned to having at least 5 tanks in the house and one container pond outside. But that's it! No more tanks!
