I managed to get hold of this made in Japan shrimp food.
It claimed that it contains bacteria that helps to break down waste and leftover. Of many brands of shrimps food I have tried, this one, apparently attracts the highest participation rate during meal times. Even shy pregnant shrimps join the meal immediately after I drop in the pellets.
But the stench of it is just too much for me.

hmm.. since it does have an awful stench, do you think it fouls water faster than other pellets?

The water does not has any smell. I believe the rush in eating it up and the bacteria has taken care of the smell.

Walter,
I can't read any Japanese, so no chance of knowing the nutrition values. Hope Japanese CRS hobbyist can help us out here.
jojoecute,
It is about S$20 for $100g, unfortunately, it is not available in SG.
