Couldn't Log On [Archive]

What happened earlier on? I tried to get into the website, but I couldn't. It said that the forum didn't exist.

Anyone?

I got a message saying their was no website configured to this address.

Perhaps it was server maintenance by the hosting company? Or the forum changing hosts? I've had that message when switching servers because the DNS system doesn't know where to find me until it's refreshed a few hours later.

All the avatars look corrupted for some reason.

Thank god the site is back. I was worried the whole database had been lost. It's a good time to say 'thanks' to the owners and moderators. :)

Hi All,

The host screwed it up, the site was no longer exists, then they restored a DB that was backup in May. Then restored to last night DB.

There is still problem with avatars and uploaded attachments.

At least one thing got fixed.. i used to have some mysql errors on the right column in the 'home' page. Not anymore! :)

Pic of the day is back, most of the picture seems to be working except avatars.

Avatars are now back! :)

Good thing they had DB backups. During the problem when I checked back, each forum section had only a page or two of posts - I thought the whole archive was permanently gone - all that hard work by everyone answering all those questions. I'm glad they got it back. Phew!

phew.... the attachment table is back also after many restorations with backup copy by the hosting company, and it didn't work, the last restort was to copy directly from the old server and it works !!

A blessing in disguise, the PHP code of Pic of the Day and random gallery code works once again without fixing. Not that I didn't want to fix it, I tried, now I know why I could never get it to work.

By the way, those pictures in member's gallary with 4 stars (points) or above will get to appear in Pic of the Day, so give your rating for those picture you like.
