Gathering

Anyone keen for a shrimp gathering? It will be an informal gathering most probably at a coffeeshop (not CoffeeBin!). Date is yet to be confirmed but most probably at a weekend.

I've met serveral fish enthusists from other forums and it has always turned out to be nice and relaxing. Meeting pet lovers is very different from any other types of arrange meetings.. if you have done this before you will realise this is a fact! :) I think it is because people who can dedicate the time and effort to look after pets or have the perspective to appreciate nature wouldn't turn out to be too horrible.. don't you think? :)

Anyway, if you are keen to join this informal gathering, put your name here!

It would be at a fixed timing so that everyone arrives at the same time. this is to ensure that people don't come too early and leave after seeing no one there or people who come late and find it awkard to join in. However, anyone is free to leave anytime (including me! haha)

Everyone will have to wear a nametag with your real name and shrimpnow nickname... ... just kidding! In fact, if you want to remain anonymous it is up to you. Just don't hide your online identity for a few years ok!

I like the idea and would like to join the gathering but I guess it is not possible for me. It's long ago since I heard the last time this 'intersting' sounding singlish, :D . But I'll get the chance soon when I'll meet a friend from your sunny island at a German guppy show. I can't coem myself to Singapore because it's too expensive for me.

I alway wonder, do claypot hawkers clean the claypot properly as burnt rice is not easy to remove. :D

Great news!!! When I reached home I found a new pregnant crs!!!!! :D :D :D The amazing thing is she has a whole clump of eggs, at least 20 lol lol lol The bad thing is my cam has no battery.. so now I'm quickly charging!!

Now I'm really in a dilema whether to separate her or not.. if I do it might stress her.. if I don't, donno she will drop the eggs like the other. :p

I think my shrimps are finally maturing! :drummer:


ps: it is a very low grade crs though, almost no white but its exciting all the same :D

(sorry about the riccia blocking.. he wouldn't come out from there when I was waiting with the camera.. also see how the ricca is droping out from the roof, the shrimps pluck at them to pass time when they get bored I think it will be botak soon :undecided ..)

Another pic of the diamond. Behind you can see a plastic thing.. that is the pvc pipe which comes out from the undergravel filter with its cap on. It's camoflagued by driftword from view from most angles and this is the only angle where it is partially visible. As I mentioned it is only used for maintainance purpose and not for filteration. :)
(It only extrudes about 2 inches from the gravel top which is why I can easily hide it even in this nano tank..)

Actually I intended to shift the front driftwood a bit so the tube and cap will be fully visible if viewed from another angle, but I just discovered that new pregnant crs so I'm not going to disturb the tank and create stress for her.. :p

This is the photos of the Pot Luck Party at my place yesterday. Around 30 members turned up. We had a great time on foods provided by members. Then we had an introduction and auction. Drift wood and rock was for members to bid. All started from RM1. A member brought 2 pairs of Half moon plakat for bid too. Also start frm RM1. But look like members not really interested in betta. Both pairs was sold at RM2.

And the plants for bidding are downoi - sold at RM8. Stargrass - sold at rm4, 3 pcs of Echinodorus oriental was sold at RM6, 2 pcs of Cryptocoryne wendtii "mi oya" was sold RM5, 2 packs of 50g each pack taiwan moss was sold at RM6 and RM8.

And i managed to sold 50 pcs of my cherry shrimps to members. :joking:
