I have a question about Cherry shrimp breeding. Can they breed in a tank with other fish? I have my Cherries in 20 gallon planted tank with Endlers and a few ottocinclus. What are the chances of the babies not being eaten by the other inhabitants of the tank?

Best to have no other fishes. Firstly it stresses them, disabling them the mood to breed. Secondly, the shrimplets might be eaten. Not advised generally.

Cherries have been bred in tanks with other fishes, but to my understanding, the yields are quite a bit lower, considering that they become fish food if a fish sees them, especially guppies and various others. Otos don't eat them from what I've heard. You take a risk when you keep shrimp with fish. Plants give them hiding spaces, but are not full proof.
