Hi everybody.

I have a 20 gal tank set up for my CRS. Lately I have noticed what looks like a haze appear in the lower front quadrant of the tank. The tank contains CRS, snails, and a floating plant (I don't remember the name). This morning it was quite noticeable however tonight it is there if you look for it. Any ideas what this might be? Is it dangerous to my CRS?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Allen

what color is the haze? is it brown? if it is then it might be diatom algae which is harmless

It is actually a bluish grey.

Do you mean something bluish grey on the lower portion of the front glass at the substrate level or on the substrate?

Could be some sort of algae, it would be good if you post a picture for easy identification.
