It looks like Physella heterostropha AKA pond snail... they breed like crazy and eat plants... and don't eat algae :S crush them on site, it makes a great snak for shrimps :) you'll see they love it!
They can and will take over your tank, unless you have snail eaters such as loaches.
Another alternative is sell them all on ebay lol there are people that buy them, some use them to feed their fish

I really hate them, they're all over the place. But I don't want to kill them, so I collect one by one whenever I can, then put them in a bottle. When the quantity is correct, I send them to a member of a french forum so she can feed her Tetraodon travancoricus :)
You can also use another, snail anentome helena, to eat them. Unless you prefer your neritina which is my choice

I agree, they do not eat plants from my experience.
If you need to get rid of snails, get another tank and keep some South American Puffer fish. They LOVE snails. :)

They actually are Acute Bladder Snail (Physella acuta) or a physa marmorata as mentioned since both are almost the exact same, not a pond snail. A lot of people just lump all the pest snails as ponds. You can get more info here (http://www.weichtiere.at/english/gastropoda/freshwater2.html) about half way down the page....
They do not eat live plant matter but do eat decaying plant matter and left over food. I have some in all my tanks and keep them in check using crays, Assassins, and light feeding schedule. I have several different color varieties and in their own right are quite a neat little snail to watch.

Normally if a snail is not an eater of plants but find a tender plant, he can eat this plant

That is a chilton corona and no it will not get hair unless alage grows on it and that is unlikely.
Here is an image that will shouw you why they are called a horned snail...
