extra's for snails?

I added an apple snail to each tank today. Do I need to add anything extra for them, like calcium for their shells? I've never had snails before. Thank you for our help and advice, Peakie :rolleyes:

I add a plaster of paris puck as needed. They are also known a weekend feeder blocks or weekly feeder blocks.

You can make your own or make snail jello with calcium. There is also a commercial food with 20% calcium that you can buy. I can provide links to all but not real sure if it would be breaking any rules.

Thanks! I think I read somewhere about the weekend feeders. Maybe I'll add one of them.
