Hi all,
I was looking for plant based wafers or pellets that made mainly out of plant ingredients and I found Tropical Green Alage Wafers. I tried with my shrimps, they like it. I prefer this brand over Hikari, I left a wafer which was an over sized meal for my shrimps for more than 12 hours, it did not disintegrate and the shrimps were still munching on it after that long hours.
Its ingredients consist of mainly plants which is similar to algae eating shrimps diets.

Wow ! Thanks Fruitpie,
Nice now our shrimps got one more varities of food to munch on.
The veggie african cichlids food i am testing have a hard time sinking. The crude protein and fat, best is as low as possible ..... 34% and 6% Tropical Green algae is the lowest ever.
I wonder does this protien and fat levels contribute to the protein layer shrimp hobbists commonly face. I seems to have fast protein layer bulit up when i feed hikrai algae waffer in the past.

I seen this brand as well before, does the price vary much? Of course calculating in the weight. :)

Yeah, I think the fat and protein levels contribute to that, also including the time the wafer is left in the water. :)
