Hi, I am experiencing CRS deaths at the rate of one every alternate day
Here are the current water parameters:
-pH: 6.4
-GH = 7
-KH = 2
-Ammonia = 0
-Nitrate = 20 - 40 ppm
- Temp - 24 C

Could it be due to the nitrate levels. Is my GH/KH values OK. Your expert advice very appreciated. My recent 5 golden CRS are doing fine. My shrimplets are all gone.

I have some small plankton-like, oval shaped organisms swimming around. How to get rid of them.

Thanks

try reducing your nitrate lower i guess theres somthing wrong with your GH do u add liquid calcium or anything else
what about death symptom like crack between neck worms etc etc a picture can say alot of things and more infomation to find out yor problem your water parameter seems ok to me.
low Kh can cause ph falcuation .
your gh seems ok but if all is calcium then got problem
the thing u are talking about if i am not wrong it is water flea noting to worry about they are totally harmless. the stick on the glass wall right?

I would bring down your GH and nitrates a little. They are okay, but CRS like softer water. A GH of 7 is medium soft.

a gh 3-4 will be ideal

Thanks guys. Will try to do the things recommended. So far did not do any thing yet. No deaths. Keeping fingers crossed. Going short trip over this weekend. Don't want to try anything too drastic cos can't monitor.

Usually its the stuff you changed recently that caused the problems... so if things are stable now, I'd go with the "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" theory....
