Hi,
your shrimps look really nice but can you show us your whole tank, too? I'm interested in the way you planted it. How many shrimps do you keep in this tank and do you use a chiller? Please inform us a bit more about the whole tank and of course some more shrimp pictures would also be nice :D .
Best regards
Robert

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the compliment.
I should have abt 70 pcs inside this tank. Most of them will come out when i feed them with shrimp pellets. I am running a chiller at 25degc.
I have another 4x2x2 planted tank housing those lower grade CRS and cherry, wild diamond, bumble bees and tiger.pl see attached pic
(1st pic on the right with many mixed shrimps )

Hi,
Here is what written on the S1 box, it says:
- encourage moulting so as to accelerate growth
- improve color
- induce spawning
Hope I didn't translate it wrongly, maybe gnome or GB can help to correct my translation. :)
This product is retailing at about 2000Yen (US$18, S$30), more pricy then a normal CRS. :p

Thanks, so far not available as far as I can tell in the USA, but it's a big place so it may be. Has anyone seen better results from using this additive? Anyone want to send me, I'll pay of course, a bottle or two to experiment with?
Don't mean to steal thread, back to your regularly scheduled shrimp discussion.

gnaster,
S1 will not make much of a difference in getting better grade of CRS, I have yet to see that it improves color. I noticed shrimps moult more then usual when dosed with S1, this should improve growth rate and spawning as advertised.
xbox, back to your CRS, sorry :D
Do you feed them with frozen bloodworms or bloodworms?

Hi, xbox, what is the difference between diamond and wild diamond? Can show us any distinguish feature of the wild diamond? If your wild diamond breeds, the offspring, do they consider wild anymore?

The small picture of Xbox's collection showing a female diamond with eggs belongs to the wild diamond category. Wild diamond usually dont have distinct black and white stripes like a normal diamond u see selling in LFS.
They usually has a brown or discolor bands at the head area and a slight bluish tint on the body. Infact wild diamond offsprings has the wild look exactly like their parents(both parents are wild). If you compare normal and wild side by side you can actually spot the difference. Although they has a discolored look, IMO they looked unqiue if you dont use CRS grading system to judge a wild diamond like most japanese do...and some even thought they are a cross between tiger and CRS lol. I just cant stop laughing at their comments.(Imagine grading a wild Betta Pugax using the betta competition system) :joking:
