What would be the minimum capacity of a tank in order to host 10 Sulawesi shrimps?
It is in my plans to get 10 Cardinals as soon as the weather warms up here. I have a little tank - with very good biological filtration- running problem free for about 5 years now, which at the moment hosts about 40 yellow shrimps. I would like to move them to another tank and put the Cardinals in there.
The question is whether the Sulawesi get stressed in such a small tank. Has anybody relative experience?
I'm aware of the difficulties to keep water parameters stable in a little tank, but I'm experienced enough in order to achieve that.
Cheers everyone!

i once rear cardinals in a less than 1 feet tank and they breed so it should seem fine to me

I think cardinals donīt need much space.

Hi ! folks,

I am keeping them in a 1ft tank but have decided to transfer them to a 2ft tank after nearly 5 months soon. With 5 adults plus appox 20 shrimplets, it is getting crowded.

I finds the adult shrimp quite territorial to other adult shrimp but will tolerate the small shrimplets lurking beside. A bigger tank with alot of rocks will be idea for them.

Cheers !

Many thanks to all of you!
I will put them in the small tank for a few months in the beginning and if they survive and breed, I will move them to a bigger tank later on.
I'll let you know about the results:cool:
