i have around 30-40 shrimps in my 2 feet tank.

i previously read from a website that overfeeding will cause problems like death .

so i would like to know how often is good to feed them ?

thanks

once a day will do fine and depends on how much you are feeding them like th quanity and if they cant finish the food best to remove and shrimps are greedy by nature . they will finihs their food . if they dont means there might be enough food for them in the tank or there might be a problem with your water parameter . dont worry . hope this helps

Starbucks, check out the forum for the various foods/feeds that members of our group feed. Personally, I keep leaves in all my shrimp tanks. I usually feed other foods once a day, but the leaves are always there for the shrimp to graze on or off of. I do not feed heavy. A good rule is if you find mostly shrimp droppings (fecal pellets) and not uneaten food, then you are feeding the correct amount. You can experiment with the amounts until you reach this balance. As Justin says, it's best to remove any uneaten food after a few hours.

I keep several ketapang leaves in the tanks to create biofilm and micro food for the shrimp. I feed MWF and don't feed on the weekends. For about 20-30 shrimp, I break a Shirakura pellet in half and drop the pieces in; it usually takes about 2-4 hours for them to finish and I remove any uneaten pieces. It depends on the type of food you are feeding. I believe Mosura has a feeding guide for their products.
