Now that my CRS have grown up a bit I thought I most post a pic of some of them.
Yeah, I'm not a photo guru, thats for sure.
What worries me here is they are not that great or maybe even good quality shrimp, The markings are odd at best. Is it possible to for these to breed and have some better qualities and can I keep crossing them to add quality to the line?

Woooo so many crs you have, Should be able to breed better quality after cross with higher grade crs.
Some of your crs got 2 white dot on the head.

Is that due to the camera or the CRS is reddish-brown? If the latter, I would suggest you look into the water they are in. The first thing you want to check is PH.
You still can breed them as it is, and select the better looking offsprings to refine the line, it will be a lengthy process. Or introduce better look ones to cross, that will save you some time. Fastest way would be getting the better looking ones to breed, if your aim is to have a big brood of those with lot of white.
Having said that, what you have are not bad shrimps, they look nice, just don't compare them with higher grade ones.

It's not the camera, nor is it the water. It's the lack of skill of the camera user. They are red, not brownish.

The whitebalance is out...that's all. :D

Hi Gnatster, shrimping is an enjoyable hobby; you shouldn't let the grade of your CRS worry you. As Fruitpie says, they look nice, just don't compare them with higher grade ones.
I think you're very fortunate to not only have some CRS, but to see that they are thriving for you. If your aim is to strive for higher grade ones, enjoy working toward it and let us know how you do!
My opinion is that you have some attractive ones with interesting markings; thanks for sharing them with us. :)

Can't hide from the Coast Guard anywhere....
Right after receiving the shrimp I went away for what was to be a short vacation that turned much longer. During my absence I learned my home has poor heating and the temps in the tanks dropped to as low as I can tell, 58F. I lost about 1/2 of all my stock, CRS included.
Currently waiting on offspring. Once I have a generation or 2 under my belt I'll be entertaining thoughts of crosses. Until them my main focus is limited to keeping these happy and healthy
