Hi,
thank you for showing us these great pictures! Do you know to which species this crayfish belongs? Did you catch yourself? If yes, in which kind of habitat does it live?

Best regards
Robert

Well my 97% sure of ID just plummeted when I found this quote on the MDC Oline...

The dwarf crayfish can be distinguished from the young of other Lowland crayfish by the conspicuous dark pigment in the tail fan, and the lengthwise dark stripes or lines on the carapace. Also, the rostrum is flat, without a central troughlike depression.

Rules it out as being a Dwarf Swamp or Shufeldtii now I think I have a young lowland cray and will just have to sit and wait it out to see what it is. I found it in a shipment of feeder golds.

It was collected out of a feeder gold shipment so my best guess is Florida...

Nice shots!

I'm a photoshop geek (use it everyday for work), but am curious how you created the nice drop shadows around your photos.... care to share?

Easy resize the photo to the desired size minus 30 pixels so if you want a 800 pixel on the long side size it to 770. Now make a new layer move it under the picture and resize the canvas on the new layer by 30 pixels per side. Paint the new layer white go back to the picture layer and add the drop shadow with the light angle you want by using layer styles and flatten. Done.
