Epipremnum pinnatum

Hello!
I´m new hear and I breed Crystal Red Shrimps.
I´m coming from Austria so my English is not so good.
My question is, if somebody has a Epipremnum pinnatum (aka "Pothos/Silver Vine/Money Plant/Centipede tongavine/Devil's Ivy" in English or "Efeutute" in German) in his tank.
It should be helpful to get rid of the nitrate in the water.
Has somebody any pictures or experiences?

My thought is, if the plant is not damaged, it will not harm the shrimps. If it is torn, the sap can cause problem to shrimps.
