I obtained some juvenile shrimp from my brother. He had these in his shrimp tank and he believes that they are Blue Shrimp offspring.
He has a mix of Cherry (two adults), Blue (two adults), Tiger (on adult), and Redfronted (one adult). He has about 20 juvenile shrimp.
The ones I obtained were caught in the filter.
This Blue Shrimp does no look all that blue to me. These range in size from 1/4" 1/2".
The stripes have me a little puzzeled and they appear very transparent.

Hi,
could you show us please some pictures of your "blue shrimps"?
I can just guess which species they belong to. I would they are Neocaridina palmata or perhaps N. denticulata sinensis, wild form. They are no offspring of the tiger shrimps for sure. They should be the offspring of your "blue shrimps" which are probably Neocaridina palmata. This is a blueish N. palmata:

I do not have images of the original Blue Shrimp that my brother has.
From what I know, these shrimp became less blue after he got them from the shop.
They do not look as blue as the image you displayed. This is why I am puzzeled.

Hmm, did some googling and found this:
The occurrence and description of Neocaridina denticulata sinensis (Kemp, 1918) (Crustacea: Decapoda: Atyidae), a new introduction to the Hawaiian Islands1
Color
Hung et al. (1993) reported the color for this subspecies as “Body color varying from black, brown, dark red, dark green, white to translucent, sometimes also covered with stripes”. The specimens from the Chinese mainland have the same color pattern as those from Taiwan. (Y. Cai, pers. observ.). On O‘ahu, the body color of wild N. d. sinensis collected in streams ranged from a nearly translucent light brown to dark brown, often with a darker brown stripe running along the entire dorsal portion of the body. Purchased shrimp were lighter with little coloration, and almost translucent in coloration.
No major differences were apparent between the Hawaiian, Chinese mainland, and Taiwan populations of N. d. sinensis except egg size.

Here are some images of the suspect parents.
I did find out that the Cherry was also with eggs two weeks earlier than the Blue ... but none appeared to have survived (or these mystery shrimp are translucent Neocaridina denticulata sinensis from this Cherry).

Hi dxq_canada ,
there is a chance those cherries you are carrying might have been cross with black shell shrimps. Because the offspring looks awfully like the black shell we have here. But i so far have not heard of blue crossing with black shell.

Never heard of black shell shrimps.
I tried to google this and did not come up with much.

Hi,
Just to share some information i found out about the commonly called "black shell shrimps"(no idea what its scientific name :p ) in singapore(BTW black shell in singapore like cherries originated from taiwan). If you compare your "blue shrimp" with this picture of a black shell shrimplet i found you can notice the similarity, yours still looked more like a black shell then a blue shrimp to me.

Hmm, it appears that a couple of these mystery shrimp have developed a silver section on the back.
Triangular in shape, and tapered towards the tail.
Two of the larger ones are like that ... though the silver section is slightly tinted amber on one of them (could be due to exoskeleton colouration).
