View Full Version : How to prepare boil spinach?

Hi all, i had boiled my spinach with tap water n throw it in my tank,:D But my CRS looks like no interest in it. :embarasse How come :huh:Do i prepare wrongly? :shocked:

If this is your first time feeding them the spinach, it may take some for them to figure out that it's food. They will not immediately take to it, but in time, they should.

You should boil it for 3-5 minutes. They do have to get used to it, but once they do, they love it.
Also, you should try to use organic baby spinach, no pesticides. :)

3-5 mins is good.
Also, make sure it's fresh.

Once a week is enough.....one fresh leaf spinach
boiled 3 - 5 minuts.....than washes it with tapwater and than in the tank....lol

you may tear the spinach so the shrimps can eat from the tears!

i've fed my shrimp spinach before but every time it ends up floating. i put it under a rock to hold it down. do any of you have this "problem?"

My shrimps loves boiled spinach. I usually boil hot water first and then put a leaf in the water and wait 4 min before i put in tank. I used one of those suction clips to hold the leaf and attach it to the glass.

why dun you try to use toothpick ?
i'm using toothpick, so far no floating spinach and CRS quite enjoy it...:D
