Hi, i would like to know the size for an areator used to run 8 sponge filters for 8 tanks of 30 liters each one..

What is a tipical flowrate to let sponge filters work (in liters/hour or liters/minute)??I dont know what model i have to choose...

thanks
Matteo

I don't know that there is a typical flowrate established for air-driven sponge filters. Obviously, the stronger the air pump, the more water movement... The main purpose is to make sure that water is pulled through the tubing of the sponge filter and ideally back into the tank. If it is then the sponge filter is working properly and you are keeping the biological/mechanical filter (sponger filters serve as both) running.
