Hi,
anyone use ketapang leaves (local name in Singapore for Indian Almond tree leaves) in their shrimp tanks before?
Any comments?

Hi Jeremy,
I used these Indian almond tree ("ketapang") leaves in my shrimp tank for some weeks to test their effect. I observed no positive effects but some shrimp seemed to dislike them and turned to a pale coloration. Only a few of them could be found on the leaves. So I took them out again.
Best regards

Yup, I did try. I didn't notice much change though.. Maybe it's because I used a small dosage so as to avoid too much of the yellowish colouration.
But i noticed some shrimps clinging onto it as well so I am not very sure if it is beneficial or not.. Since it gives out tannic acids which some shrimps seem to like.. :) My advise is if there isn't a need I think you give a miss.. Shrimps are too delicate creatures. ;)
