Hi BSK,
A warm welcome to the forum. Your tank setup is rather unique. How do you wish the scape to turn out like? One thing for sure, it would not be turn out natural. However, if you intended it that way, then by all means. :)
Do check out the others' setup. I am also rather new in planted, just giving my two cents' worth. Cheers!

Welcome to the both of you! :) BSK, I really enjoyed both the picture and caption called "buffet by the park."
Cruzzera, I'm not entirely sure, but they appear to be Caridina japonica (aka Yamato; Amano shrimp).

Hi BSK,
What are u intending to plant on the bogwoods? Probably moss, I think. It look rather bare at the moment but I believe once you include moss into the tank, it will be much better.
BTW: I see some red and white stuff sticking out on one of the bogwood. What is that?

I just bought 10 bucks worth of java moss last weekend on spur of the moment.
Just left it inside the water to float and attach to the centerpiece,
looks rather messy thou ..
Thinking of shifting the entire scape to a 3ft tank which is currently housing only 2 goldfishes.

haha - it's sort of like a temporary housing.
I'm looking at shifting them to another 3ft tank which is currently too big for the 2 goldfishs.
I'm looking at setting up java moss wall and carpet for the 3ft.
Maybe riccia as well.

By the way, are these eggs/frys floating around the water?
I ask because they appeared after some of the pregnant shrimps went skinny.
This is the best shot I could get - the rest is simply not viewable due to light background.

i think it is Planaria. Some type of aquatic bug. It is no harm to the shrimp. Some fishes like to eat. The growing in there, mean u have a very stable water parameter. But, they will breeding and gonna fully occupied the tank. Look kinda ugly and disgusting. :D
