could u please tell me more about
"Freshwater Shrimp "Blue" NEW - Cardina babaulti "Blue and about black back shrimps?
a photo would help a lot , thanks.

I think the library here should have a profile on the blue shrimps? Do check it out, there should be pictures and details about the species there as well. I heard it is pretty tough to find one and there are dyed ones in the market. :undecided
I think there is a recent discussion about black back shrimps, do search for it. :) There should be pictures in that thread as well as far as I can remember.

thanks, but in the "species" section i saw a few different kinds of blue- what is the one that im asking for? (its from a wholesaler in singapore- don't know its name as im "second hand" here)
and what is the scientific name of the black back please

I was stupid enough to buy those blue caridina's and i can asure you: the don't stay blue. Also other people i know had the same experience :( The turn brown very quickly and stay that way.

Why not show us what is the picture of shrimps that you got from the seller?
Sellers are pretty creative in giving tradename to shrimps.
I bet the 2 "species" of shrimps are from same breeding tank, seller classify them according to color.

I will look for images of it tomorrow, the pictures are already put on a cdrom. I have one image where it looks realy blue but that's because of the flashlight of the camera :undecided

I can't find the picture where it's realy blue anymore but i did find one of what it looked like the rest of the time.

Well, needs a bit of imagination to see blue color of a blue shrimps and also depends on their mood to show blue. :D

A shop near me had some labeled "Sapphire Blue" and I picked a few up. It's been about 5 weeks now that I have had them. Noticed one with eggs last night.
