An interesting set up......:) Through my experience a nano tank like that without filtration can only support a limited number of inhabitants, keep us inform on the progress of the shrimplets. Also you may experience problem with the water surface where a layer of oil/dirt will tend to build up, avoid fish flakes as it will foul the surface very fast. You probably need to use sinking food and even then in very minute amounts.... More frequent but very small water changes is probably more beneficial than just a weekly change and it also helps to clean the surface....
My 5 month old nano tank of about 1 gallon has yet to have pregnant cherry females, maybe I do not have a male as there is only a few shrimps in there but it could also be that the conditions does not favour the female to conceive.....
Keep us updated! ;)

Hi Nandu,
Very impressed on your setup, creative idea for us to learn. Cherry shrimps are hardy and can survive at ambient temperature. Keep us update on the shrimplets. Cheers.
