Breeding shrimp is a big part of this hobby for probably the majority of the visitors here. I haev a few questions myself.
A forum that details the genetic traits and breeding differences between species may be usefull for those of us who want to cross different strains or have general questions about this process.

Have you checked out the "Species" category at the top menu? It lists out the different species of shrimp (with pix) and helps with identifying them.

I'm thinking more of details when it comes to breeding various species, special setups. Cross breeding, and questions that people might have about the specifics of a particular strain that he\she is trying to propagate. ATM questions about breeding seems to be thrown about in ever forums. Water quality for breeding, and general questions about this part of the hobby are found in a few forums. I think it would be nice to have these questions/answers and specific information together in a general forum that everyone can find without having to search.
It’s more then a simple shrimp ID, which would be fine in the species forum. Lets say I want to breed Amano shrimp and have questions about salinity of the water for the larval stages of the young. Should I be posting in species or should I post in ‘Health & nutrition” “tank setup” “Species” or “Water conditioning and management”.
At the moment I can find questions about breeding specifics on a particular strain in a couple forums. IMO it would make it easier for people who have questions about breeding tiger shrimp to look in a breeding section then it would be to search all the forum categories.

At least for the time being, we can post discussion in General forum, when there is an increase in posting of such topics, I will open up such specific forum.
Thank you for your suggestions.
