Filter Outlet Pressure and Crs

i was wondering because i am currently running a 1ft cube with a eden 501 the filtration is quite powerful, does this have any effect on the CRS shrimp? if the flow current is strong

I used a thick fine sponge over the inlet of the 501 to slow it down, as it was a bit of a whirlpool in the small tank. I am not sure it is much of a problem for the shrimp as long as they have something to hold on to and some places where there is not so much flow.
