Few time ago got few pieces of this shrimp (http://www.shrimpnow.com/forums/showthread.php/my-new-babaulti-1999.html), but something was wrong and I lost them few days after.
I love this shrimp so I would have to try again. So today got a new group, itīs the second try....
This guy in the picture looks like a new guy in the neighbourhood... every one look at him.

I hope getting more success than last time. I housed them in my Bee tank, it has not good pH range for them, but is a well-know matured tank. Currently, few hours after adaptation they looks healthy and eat so well.

as I know, at least green babaulties need quite hard water. Bees like more softer. that should make troubles.

I have few green babaulti in the same water, and they are breeding at the moment. Although that is only a temporal house, while their tank is maturing f0r a month or so.
By the way, I am looking for a good soil for them, any advise?

Up dating 2nd day:
All shrimps stay alive. All of them looks healthy and they donīt stay hidden. They go to food few minutes after adding it into the tank.
I am so glad.

They stay so well, go to eat and not stay hidden, they share food with Bee without problems.

hi Xema ,
i keep mine in neutral PH and a bit soft water.
they are breding now , but found they are a bit shy.
but you know they are in a bare bottom tank , that's can explain why they are shy.
they do go out at lunch time.

Mine actually are sharing home with Bee shrimp with pH 6,8 and soft water. They seem not be so shy. In spite of they have lots of hidden places, you can see them easily around the tank.

Although they look a bit similar to purple zebra shrimps (also the name) they show normal behaviour like other dwarf shrimps.
Purple zebras are really shy.

geez shy you say ?
i have to move them in a 3.5g (about 40 to be able to abuse them by wtching them, lol never see a shrimp shy like those purple zerba:)
when i say shy , it is of course relative :)

Is the breeding similar to babaulti Green shrimps, do they take as much time to grow?

Although I don't have the green babaulti for comparison, I would say these are fast growers. They also breed fine in my hard alkaline water.

Are these the same as being called Indian Zebra? I have some as well and this is the common name I was told. Mine were very small and I lost a few soon after delivery, but they are doing well now.
