I was just wondering how you get avatars. Can anyone tell me? Ive been looking forever.

For now, the system is the loaded with ready to use avartars. However you can download from these sites (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=t&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4SUNA_en___SG211&q=free+avatar) or make your own avartar and upload into your user profile.

Hi Dally,

for Shrimpnow you need 20 posts before you are allowed to use avatars and some other things.
At least that was the reason why I couldn't use an avatar when I was new to this forum. So you have to do 10 more postings.

Then go to "User CP" (on top of this page).
If you have enough posts you will find "Edit Avatar" on the left side of your User CP.
You can use an own Picture from your harddisk. The maximum size of an own image is 80 by 80 pixels or 24.4 KB.

These are not published to keep spammers at bay. If they know exactly how many posts to make based on a published list, it would be easier for them to make x number of posts and them spam away. This is to protect both the forum and its members.

I spoke half in jest, but this makes a lot of sense. It's also nice to be surprised when you have a new option available--it's sort of like reaching new levels in a video game.
