I just replace all my ricca carpet(traps too much debris) with christmas moss.... now my tank looks empty :(

Anyway have a look at my cherries that survived the HDB fogging(pesticide) now they have grown up lol .

My tank setup:

Hi Simcb

Do you have issues about fogging due to what reason?

I mean, the fog was done by your housemates, or for the government to control any kind of pests?

How can we avoid issues in this kind of situation? Covering the tank and adding Activated carbon at the filters?

Regards,

Livio

Nice looking shrimp you have there! I'm sure it will look full again when the moss grows in a little more. :)

There are cases of dengue fever in my area...thats why explains increasing fogging to reduce mosquito population. If your area does fogging, cover the tanks, close window and throw packs of active carbon in that should do it.

My tank is free from pesticide as you can see the CRS are doing ok inside.

So, one more point in common between Singapure and Brazil, regarding the mosquitos and Dengue fever
Thanks for the answer. If the mayor decide to fog near my neighborhood, I am able to avoid any trouble with that measures

Love the second picture, with the cherries all gathered together. :D For a moment i was wondering where are the cherries, only saw CRS and diamond, until i strain my eyes.. lol Talk about camouflage! :p

Anyway except for the newly introduced wire mesh, your setup gives a really natural touch! Very nice I would saw, and no worries, once your christmas moss grows out well, it will be so nice of a sight! :D

You have such a nice collection of shrimp! I think your tank looks great with the natural colored gravel and the live plants and moss that will fill in nicely in a few months. What kinds of shrimp are the ones that are black and red with white stripes?

Hi,

The red with white stripes are called crystal red bee shrimp aka CRS and the black with white stripes are called diamond. Btw the moss is newly bought at that time. Christmax is one of the slowest growing moss i guess it will take some time before the whole tank turns christmax moss only.

Looks good but it'll look better when it matures.

I agree, it'll sure look better when it matures. You might want to put some driftwood to for your shrimps to hide in though. The empty space just looks a bit wasted to me. :P
