Strange looking White pearl

I have just found this beautiful White pearl in one of my shrimptanks. There is only WP i the tank. Now I wonder why the shrimp looks like this, can it be a mutation or is there another explanation.

Your White Pearl shrimp is fine with that stripe on his back.
In my WP-tank(pretty sure there are over 1000 of them ..i call them the white desease shrimps lol ) i have a few of them.
Actually i try to seperate them into a other tank ...just to see if the white stripe will be shown in other generations.

by the way the stripe is a old remark from the nominat zhangjiajiensis.....

Neocaridina cf. zhanghjiajiensis is well known to be various in their coloration. With selective breeding you can fix the color like it has been done with the blue pearl shrimp.

Thank you so much. I gonna move the WP and one male and try to get more shrimps look like this. I think she is lovley. I am glad you say it comes från the origin shrimp. I was a little worrying if it mabe come from another specie very long ago, even if I don not really think that.

I have big problems log in on this forum, and even post pictures. I only success very few times, and I think it is very sad because I like this forum very much.

make sure u add the WWW when you type the site into your browser. Silane mentioned that to me when I was having issues and it seems to have fixed most of them.

Thank you, I shall try that. It is little strange because it looks like I can log in att half, but when I try to answer or send in i picture I can not do that, I been loged out direktley. It is so frustrating. I hope your tips fixed it :cheesy:
