oh my gosh....i dont know how to express how happy i am today..
i bought a pair of crystal red shrimp by random, and after 6 months of waiting:cry: ..they are now breeding like machines! i just want to let those shrimp lovers/new to shrimp hobby... dont give up on those little fellows lol

just a question:
i realized something this afternoon, the mother shrimp had a dark color pigmentation on her head and after a few hours, she is pregnant..is that a sign of how the female is fertile for the next breeding? because i've witness 2 times of her pregnancy ^^ (they seem to dont stop breeding)

Shrimp are constantly producing eggs. While one brood is developing (after they have been fertilized), she already is beginning egg production for the next brood. Once the current brood hatches, she's ready to drop down the eggs she's been producing down for fertilization. This, of course, is dependent upon how much food is available as well.

The dark matter to which you refer, is that color pigment or under the carapace?

Thanks retardo..

I am sure it is under her carapace. It looks like something is stuffed inside. Does that mean anything? ^^
