dear silane and baluku
aged of its shrimp about 5 month old. and i don't used any water paramenter. i just only used water termometer, usually show at 24-27 o C.
i feed my shrimp with blood worm in small doses, and some fish pellets.
What is best time to do water change and how much percentage of tank thant i should do change in a week?
thank you much!! :)

Hello Martin,
30% a week works fine for me.
There are some points to think about:
how much/often feeding
how many animals/plants
how big is the tank
efficiency of the filter

Are you feeding live bloodworms? If they are live, they may be carrying parasites with them into the water, and that may be affecting your shrimp as well. Do the food pellets contain copper? Copper is known to have adverse effects on invertebrates.
Also, when we ask about water parameters, we want to know what the pH, temperature, kH, GH, nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia levels. Providing this information is always helpful.

do you test the ph of the water as well? For me I do small water changes about 10% every 3 days. :D

I also do 30% partial water changes weekly using ro water and add Seachem Equilibrium and Seachem Alkaline buffer. I use a diy filter consisting of a sponge filter attached to a small powerhead.
My crs, both adults and young seem to be happy in their envronment. The Gh 7, Kh 4, Ph 6.5, Ammonia 0 and Nitrites 0. I try to keep the water conditions as stable as possible doing regualr testing.
I feed small amounts of Sera Spirulina or JBL Novo Prawn once daily.
Really hope you find the cause for your problem Martin.
