1) Okay, i got some questions. Usually people will say that do not suddenly rise pH in your tank or else your shrimp will get shock and may die slowly. I happen to bought some shrimp (CRS of course! :p ) from a lfs and decided to test it's water parameter. To my suprise, the water they are using had a pH as high as 7.5. Well, my tank had a pH of 6.7 which has a difference of 0.9 or 1. So will it be considered "shock" for the shrimp?? I always put the shrimp in directly after the temp is adjusted but only recently decided to check their water parameter.

2) Regarding the checking of water parameter, i did a test for kH for my tank (3ft, 37 gallon) recently. i found that the kH raise as high as 3 kH or 52.7ppm. I did a test to the tap water and chemicals and had the following findings.

Tap water (5ml): 0-1 kH.
Bio Baterical (Single drop in 5ml tap water): 3-?kH
Chlorine/Chloromine remover (Single drop in 5ml tap water): 3-?kH
Plant fertiliser (1 solid piece in 5ml tap water): 0-2kH

Realise that the chemicals i am using is the culprit for raising the kH. The only solutions i found for the following problem is to age water 2 weeks for bacterial growth and activated carbon for chloromine remover. Anybody has better ways?? (Non chemical..)

3) Anyway to bring water parameter as close to nature itself? Except collection of water from riverside of course. Most importanly is dust free. Don't feel comfortable when seeing the water surface sometime like having a layer of oil and staff. And Shrimp safe of course. Anyways?

Shrimps can be kept in several water parameters.
The most important thing is to change the water slowly that they get no "shock" as you said.
I need 2-3 hours while I put some water in the bag before I let them swim.
During this time I got the triple amount of water with over 5 times adding water. With this method I got no problems so far.

Since pH scale is log, a difference of 1 is 10 times the difference in hydrogen ion level. If you would to drop a shrimp that has been living in pH of 7 to 6, you will give it a shock.

What chemical are you using?
