Hello,
lately some small colourful freshwater/terrestical crabs (Geosesarma spec., called "vampir crab", "mandarin crab", "tomato crab"...) came from Indonesia to Germany. Does someone have information about the biotopes or their reproduction? Can someone help me to get such crabs? I'm also interested in other freshwater/terrestrical crabs.

Hello,
I also have these pretty Geosesarma sp. "Vampire-crabs" and they breed in fresh-water. I had about 50 little (0,3 cm) crabs. I don't know exactly how long the pregnancy was for the mother......

I would be very interested in these if i could import a few here from Germany  .
Do they need land to come up onto? How about water stats? And how big do they get? Germany gets all the cool inverts in Europe :( .

Yep, Germany is the place to be in Europe if you're into shrimp, crabs, crays etc. :p
Do you know a few online shops sell to Britain? I bought my shrimps and aeglids from a german website and have had no problems. Shipping is safe as long as it's overnight and the animals are properly packed. To get them from Germany isn't any more stressful on the animals than buying off ebay.co.uk. The only downer is that the sites are in German and it's a bugger even using google language tools to translate. :(
I'm going to ask if I can post a link to the site I've bought from.

Really?:D Cool, i've seen loads of great sites, but assumed they would only post to Germany.
What did you buy?

Very Interesting~ lovely color and size~ Do they need to walk on land or just living in water? I wish I can feed those crabs

They love to walk on the land above the water so i would make some land for them.......i don't know if they can live only in the water.......
In my tank they are 80% of the time above the water.
