Shrimps article.

Hi,

Is there anyone coming out the article about shrimps? Like what shrimp can be found in what country. How to take care of them? What is the water parameter for them? And the general care tips of shrimps? etc....

There is a magazine going to have something like 2 pages of about nano tank and shrimp. I am a shrimp idiot and hope experts in here able to help out. If there is someone from here giving me an article. I will get the magazine put his/her name and the URL of this forum.

For me, i will just providing my nano tanks. (Professional photographer going to take my nano tanks picture.)

just helping out a little :) i dont know about origins... maybe u can check up articles in this forum

water parameter just like other fishes, no ammonia and nitrite..

temp is best at 23-25 degrees celcius

PH shld be 6.5-7.5

they need sufficient aeration too..

tips.. hmmm... never have insecticide spraying in the room? its really almost exactly same as keeping fishes :)

except maybe some things,

like hiding places (plants/Driftwood) are importnat as they are easily stressed..

gravel or moss floor is importnat as they like to cling on to rough surfaces as they will feel stressed on smooth surfaces.

Best kept in species tank, they dont do well with most fishes. (eat shrimplets/shrimps or attack them or merely presence making them feel stressed)

maybe u can talk about some other things in your article like they do moult when they grow, sex differentiating (check out articles here), high/low order of breeding (also in this forum;s articles)

Did the Mods promised to write a all-in-one shrimp article for you?

Hmm i am curious...cause they are currently quite busy with designing the forum. I guess what Walter meant is.....if you need any info on shrimps you can look up for it in this forum for your 2 page magazine writeup.....Walter refering the "articles"=threads..... i think.

PS: I wonder will 2 pages including pictures be enough for information all on shrimps. The one on CRS selective breeding can easily hit 2 pages even without any pictures. :rolleyes:

I think Fruitpie is probably bombarded with many Pms constantly causing the late reply. Wish good luck on your shrimp magazine! Maybe you can scan the 2 pages after the magazine has been printed and show us that will be great.
