25-28C will do to breed the CRS. Lower than 28C would be
better. As for PH, 6.5 - 7.5 is ok.

From my experience the Crystal Red shrimps are much harder to breed then the Cherry Red Shrimp.
I had originally 20 Cherry Red shrimp and after a month later I now have at least 40 babies that has grown to about 1/4 of an inch. Where as my Crystal Red Shrimps had gradully died off and now I have only 9. At one time I had 4 Crystal Red shrimps carrying eggs.

That's certainly right, CRS requires MUCH better water condition the cherry shrimp. Cherry shrimps do well a wide range of water hardness and shrimplet are able to hatch and develop in wide range of water hardness too.
kross, you need alot of luck if you just try to breed with 1 pair of CRS.

Its either begginer's luck or I dont know what, but from 12 pieces i got, two died after 2-3 weeks and now, after 6 weeks i have not one but 3(!!!) pragnant crs inside the tank. I can see the brown eggs easily and the mothers keeping them cool (???) by moving their back legs all the time :)
What do i need to do now?
No other tankmates but 10 crs and a few snails.

Congrats! Now you just need to countdown the days since they became pregnant, so you'll know roughly when to start searching for shrimplets! :D

Good luck to you bro.
Crs take 3-4 weeks to birth shrimplets, females crs keep fancing thier back legs is way to massgae the belly & also keep eggs more fresh. (Female crs belly itchy) lol lol
You have nothing much to do,as per normal what you have done everyday & do not do much changes to your tank setup. You still allow to do water change, but not large water change.
Now you can count down, waiting for your new born shrimp babies to arrive.

It is difficult to differentiate male to female. If the shrimps are too young, they all look the same. Have a look here (http://www.shrimpnow.com/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=14) . It may help you :) .
