In my CRS only tank (+some very small cherry) I found brown/white offspring. It's 2 days it hatched and I don't have camera here to post photo.
But it is real Bee. Brown and white stripes. As I said, there are only CRS no Bee or other crossable species. Also no new shrimp bought last months. All my CRS I have at least 2 months and they did not have eggs when they come.
I can't imagine how is it possible. Maybe red mutation depends on more genes.
Did someone watched same?

If you are very sure it is brown and it is pure CRS, I must say congratulation, this baby will grow up to be a deep red.

That are my first CRS babies, so I hope they will be ok. Female carried much more yellowish eggs than other females (deep purple, or so). Should where be "connection" between eggs color and babies? I hope they will survive.

The other possibility is that the shrimplet was introduced into the tank via the plants etc without your knowledge. Adults are very easy to miss, let alone shrimplets.
