    Hi Brenig102,

Heed those advise. Light, nutrients and CO2 (which is the main nutrients) has to be balanced. Light is the last factor to increase, or else you will have algae outbreak or the plant will be burned.

Try spot dosing it with Excel that will clear it up in a few days.

Is the BBA changing colour? If its working it should go red then to white. If not try adding more Excel. Turn of your filters for 10 minutes just before you dose so the flow doesn't blow it about the tank.

Did a bit of a better job. But it turns out I have cladophora so I did my method of destroying them. Here is a link to it: http://www.plantedtank.net/forum/showthread.php?t=197690

I don't recall Cladohora has smell. It is much more coarse than hair algae and can just remove by pulling up with tweezer.

Best way to eradicate Cladohora should be by manual removal, any other means may hurt your plant as it suppose to live in same condition as your plant.

The plats get up rooted when using ones hand or tweezers. I've dealt with cladophora before and it stinks.
