    Question No for sale section?

I'm wondering, is there a for sale section? If not, why?

    secuono,
Shrimp Now is a knowlege and friend based forum. We keep the business side out in order to provide an open and unbiased platform for discussion and learning. You may feel free to PM questions about "where to buy" dealers and sites etc to friends you make on the forum, however you must have 10 or 20 posts in order to activate that feature. Good luck and enjoy the people and vast knowlege available here.

    Hm, ok.

I see that this place has tried several times of the years to set up some kind of shrimp database and failed. Is there any current website that lists shrimp with info about them?

It's funny how you stumble in, don't say hello and start complaining about the forum... Who are you, and do you think you'll get quick and friendly answers when you come to grump?

A sale section means money matters and personal gain.
Mixing hobby and monetary matters usually turns into a disaster.
If you want to enjoy the hobby it is smart to keep money matters outside.

I wasn't complaining, I was pointing out that the pop up that showed was wrong. I was just linking to a page on this site and yet it said no outside websites.
You are making this forum seem like it's filled with pricks with sticks up their bums. Chill out, most forums have fun with quirks like that. It's not that serious.

I dont think that a sales sub forum would in any way take away from the integrity of this forum as a whole. In fact, I think having one would be incredibly valuable to all shrimp hobbyists. Especially someone new to the hobby. Selling within a peer group would only increase honest trade because any seller would understand they would be being watched by the entire group. I would personally feel much more comfortable purchasing shrimp from a fellow hobbyists and respected member of this forum then any where else.
