Question CRS Colouration & Age Question

I have just received some young CRS in the post.

I did a 3 hour drip acclimatisation even though the parameters were very close.

Their colours, especially the White, are a bit transparent.

Now I assume that it takes a couple of days for the colouration to come back & become more intense?

At least this was the case for Sakuras, the colouring was terrible the first day, but after 24 hours it was super intense.

So is this the case for CRS too, due to shipping stress?

Also does the colour of young 1-1.5cm CRS improve like it does with Sakura or cherries?

    Thanks for your help

Pic taken 5 hours after postman and 2 hours after added to tank. (camera makes them look more solid than they are

the once in the top left above is the best colouration, so is it just less stressed?

(The biggest cherry in pic is fully grown>>> so you can compare age)

Yeah its normal, tomorrow morning they will be back to full colour.

Personally, i find young CRS have better colouring than when they get bigger, the younger they are the better the colour.
When i die make sure my wife sells my shrimp for what they are worth, not what i told her they are worth.

These SSS Mosura shrimp never improved on colour, Oh well

Does this mean they are in fact "A" Grade & not "SSS"?

The saturation and cover of both red & white is poor, that's for sure. How many days now?

IME, colour returns very quickly in optimal water conditions say, 2-3 days max.

As for the grade; this has been debated time and again - colour vs pattern. Personally, I'd rate colour as A with a + for pattern i.e. A+

They look to be the offspring CRS x Golden. This poor saturation of colour is very common in this cross when breeders are chasing pattern and not colour.
