    The first one is a fav. from me too. In Germany they are imported as Neritina "Orange Track". Like other neritinas they wont breed in freshwater.

    Ohhhh, they're beautiful! I too like the orange/red one with the dots - what an amazing color on a snail!

    Nerites are great, and the fact that they come in such great colors (polka dot, zebra) and the one with the "spikes" is an added bonus. I hope they do well for you. I wish they were available here.

    Jane,
    There are sources for nerites in the US. My lfs has four different kinds, plus the ones with spikes (calling them crown of thorns - appropriate for today ).

    There are even native nerites in the US - just ask some of the folks in Florida and Georgia!
