Default Do any one have experience with Taiwan Mischlinge

    Hi all.

I have plan to 7 Taiwan Mischlinge, but I don't feel "ready" to take the next step and buy them.
I'am not 100% sure about the watervalue, but i have read to a PH 6, KH 1-2 and a GH 7.
How does these watervalue sounds like?

    Best Regards Kevin

Do not be afraid, F1 crosses are as hardy as CRS, so if you can raise CRS, crosses will be no problem. F2 tw are other chapter
    Water is ok, acclimatise carefully.

    , always F1.
Do you have CRS/CRS in it? If they do fine, Mischlinge will do to.

Then... it is a bit risky to start with it. But prices are not too high so you will see. Theoretically water your water is perfect, if shrimps will have same meaning... you will see

To be honest, understanding water parameter, knowing their manipulations and having experience with some 'easy' shrimp is the pre-condition for more demanding shrimp. You also can jump into keeping more sensible shrimp, thus you must be open for reading the forums a lot.

F1 Mischlinge are like a magical bag in producing offspring, as you mostly know few about their pedigree. Besides, some keeper have problem getting them over F2-population. I don't want to hold you off keeping them, but remember that these shrimp range on an average/expert level.

It is not my first attempt with more difficult shrimps. But i was not 100% sure about the wateparametres.

You write about some keeper have probelm getting them over F2-Population, can you explain what you mean?

I have look at these boxens about Mischling offspring, and I will said it looks very easy to breed these shrimps, and maybe get King kong shrimps?

    But here is my plan

    Tank:

    around 20L
    Fluval 1plus
    Flora Grow Florabase
    Some roots and stone
    Plants: Vesicularia dubyana, Cladophora aegagropila

To water-change I think, I will use rainwater because the waterparametres.
But before the water will pour in to the shrimptank, i will filter the water with coal.

    How does it sounds like?
