Default how cold should the water be for CRS

Hi, how cold should the water be for CRS? For tanks using chillers. What will be a ideal temperature to set?

Well, i'm no expert on CRS's, but this is from what i've read, CRS are kept best at tempuratures between 25-28(degrees celcious)...but most breeders would say its best to keep it at 25C.

I think it is better to keep the temperature below 26C.

28C is a bit too warm, I would recommend 25C.

But do be careful about it. CRS are rather sensitive and using a fan, the temperature might still flactuate together with the weather, especially over here in the tropical area.

I keep them sometimes at 21C and they still have eggs.

    Hello Armin,

I have also about 20C in winter, but the people from tropical countries have problems with the heat, so they must use chillers and we need heater.
They only make the water as cool as necessary to have offspring and keep the shrimps healthy.

I dont know how cold for CRS. Maybe 15C limit for a few weeks?
As far as i know tiger shrimps have coldest temp. in winter about 5-10C in nature.
Norway CRS are a little bit rougher of course?
