    Default After molt

Immediately after a big mature female molt and left its skin,

All other male shrimp crazy chasing and looking for something.

They are chasing for that female.

    Even other species also attacted.

They all out from hidden place look and hunting I guess

    Nice tank setting !!!

what's the parameters of your water?

From the picture, are you using a mix of normal grave and red sea soil, or just normal grave? Then how do you maintain the low PH.

    any reply is appreciated. Thx.

    Smile

    Ph at 6.8-7.0
    Temp at 23-26c

I using ADA Aquasoil (Malaya) and some riversand on the top. For me, the only thing to worry about, is this soil will tend lower the ph (ie 5.6-5.8), hence to acidc

The Ph intially very low (PH at 5.8), I add a few small tea spoon crushed coral chip in HOF, then switched to 6.8, and may change to 7.0 if did to much wc weekly.

For lowering the ph, I just going back to basis ...that is gravel to cencentrated. A good soil to use definy help to lower water ph and help grow microoganisma. I have about 2 inch - 3 inch soil gravel .

Beside that I heard the oak leave or ketapang leave help lower ph, but even for my nano tank it does not lower ph much.

I didnot add in any fert to shrimp tank but only some diy co2(help ph also) for some plant to grow better.
