    Default CRS & CBS

Can my CRS live in the same tanks as my Crystal Black shrimp without making an ugly hybrid?
    Thanks in advance

From what I have been reading, you can have an all CRS tank and still get some CBS once in awhile. The breeders that I have bought from sell both and have them both in the same tank. I suppose the black genes can be more dominate than the red. I asked the same question a few days ago and someone here said what I just stated.

Do some searches on this subject at this forum and check out all the discussions on it. As a mater of fact, I posted a few days ago on the interbreeding of them. I got some good responces.

They are not Hibrids and yes they can. Same species.
The problem is brown /black a dominant over red, so eventually you will get more CBS than CRS.

Commonly kept together, with the exception of "Pure Line" shrimp

Brown shrimp are lower grade blacks. You will get brown if you cross a red carrying gold genes with a black.

You should not get browns otherwise. If you have prl and blacks you should not get browns.

    That is my thought
