yes, I do. I always have some oak leaves in my shrimp tanks.
I only use those dry brown leaves which fell from the trees.
It usually takes several weeks until the leaves are completely eaten, but the shrimps also eat the microorganisms that settle on the leaves.
The tannic acid in the leaves is released into the water. That seems to have positive effects on the shrimps, too. That's similar to the indian almond leaves.
